Extron Flexible Conduit Adapter Kit (part number 70-227-01) — the hardwire conversion plate Extron lists specifically for HSA 400 and HSA 402 units.
Plenty of jurisdictions will not accept a cord-and-plug connection on equipment buried above a ceiling or built into furniture. This kit answers that inspection point. The factory IEC inlet comes off, the supplied adapter plate goes on in its place, and an electrician gains a conduit landing that carries building power straight into the unit. Because the assembly conforms with UL 2043 for heat and smoke release, it is cleared for plenum airspace such as the void between a dropped ceiling and the deck above it.
Key Capabilities
- Version-matched by Extron to the HSA 400 and HSA 402 enclosures.
- Plate opening takes either 1/2 inch flexible conduit or 3/8 inch liquid tight conduit.
- Arrives with 6 feet of 1/2 inch flexible conduit already in the box.
- Includes 7 feet of unterminated three-wire cable for the electrician to land.
- Mounting hardware is supplied, so no separate fastener kit is required.
- Conforms with UL 2043 heat and smoke release for plenum-rated spaces.
Where It Is Used
Conference rooms and classrooms where an HSA 400 or 402 architectural connectivity enclosure is set into a table or a wall and local code demands fixed wiring. Also common in healthcare and government fit-outs, and in any ceiling plenum where cord-connected gear is not permitted.
