Not every architectural mounting problem maps onto a gang count. The EWB 10X8 gives an open 10 by 8 inch footprint on the wall surface, which suits mounting frames, custom panels and equipment that does not conform to standard US gang spacing. Like the rest of the EWB Series it carries 2.5 inches (6.4 cm) of depth for faceplate wiring, and knockouts allow cable to be run in from a surface raceway channel or taken from the wall space behind the box.
