Extron has since reissued the black two-gang box under a newer number, but the original code persists across drawings, BOMs and maintenance schedules that were written years ago. Quoting the code the documentation actually names removes an avoidable point of failure at ordering time. The hardware is unchanged in principle: a steel two-gang enclosure that fixes to the wall face, providing 2.50 in of depth behind the faceplate, with surface raceway knockouts and a rear opening for cavity cable runs.
