Details
Extron EDID 101D (part number 60-990-01) — a one-eighth rack EDID emulator that keeps a DVI or analog VGA source booting to the right resolution.
Most no-picture callouts are handshake problems, not cable problems. When a display is switched off, unplugged or routed through a matrix, the source loses the EDID it relied on at boot and falls back to a default the projector cannot show. The EDID 101D sits inline and holds that EDID permanently, so the source always sees a stable display description. It handles dual or single link DVI-D on a female DVI-I connector and, with a DVI-A to 15-pin HD adapter, passes analog RGBHV, RGBS, RGsB and RsGsBs as well. Power can come from the DVI source on pin 14, a VGA source on pin 9, or an external supply.
