Extron ECM S10 (part number 60-1705-03) — a two-piece infrared partition sensor that tells an eBUS control system whether a movable wall is open or closed.

Divisible rooms only behave correctly if the control system knows which configuration it is in. The ECM S10 supplies that fact: a transmitter with an 870 nm infrared LED faces a receiver up to 10 ft away, and the beam breaking or reconnecting flags the partition state. The receiver reports through a 4-pole eBUS connection to an Extron control processor and also offers a 2-pole digital output. Power is neat — the receiver takes 12 VDC from the eBUS link and feeds the transmitter 14 VDC at 100 mA through its own 2-pole connector, so no separate supply is needed at the far side.
