Extron EBDB (part number 60-1170-01) — an eBUS signal distribution hub with ten parallel ports for eBUS-enabled IP Link Pro control processors.
Wiring every button panel back to the processor produces a rack full of home runs. The EBDB replaces that with a single hub: its ten ports are wired in parallel, so each one acts as an input or an output for traffic between an IPCP Pro processor and the eBUS endpoints. Practically, that means one IPCP Pro plus nine endpoints, or ten endpoints on their own. A front-panel LED reports whether power is present on any port. One caution Extron stresses in the setup guide: only one source should feed the +V pins, so never connect the power pin to a device already powered elsewhere.
Key Capabilities
- Ten 4-pole 3.5 mm captive screw eBUS ports, all connected in parallel.
- Each port works as an input or an output for eBUS communication.
- Connects up to ten eBUS devices in daisy-chain or star topology.
- Front-panel power LED: unlit means no power, lit means power present.
- No configuration required on the hub itself.
- ZipClip 200 mounting clip included for desk, rack rail or furniture mounting.
- Quarter-rack width lets four units share one rack shelf.
Where It Is Used
Sits in racks, under desks, on lectern shelves or strapped to a projector pole in classrooms, boardrooms and multi-room installations where several eBUS button panels and endpoints must reach one control processor without individual cable runs.
