The DWP 102 exists for the very common case where a wall position needs a pair of connections rather than one — an HDMI input and a network jack, a control module and a USB charging plate, a transmitter alongside an audio feed. Keeping both on a single two-gang plate is tidier than two separate one-gang plates and gives a single cutout to core.
