Extron DTP3 R 201 (part number 60-1869-53) — quarter-rack DTP3 receiver that lands a 4K/60 HDMI feed, de-embedded stereo audio and serial control at the display end of a single twisted pair run.
Put this receiver opposite any DTP3 transmitter and one shielded CAT 6A cable carries picture, sound, RS-232 and power out to 330 feet. Nothing is compressed along the way, so a 4096x2160 image arrives with the full 18 Gbps of HDMI 2.0b headroom it started with, HDCP 2.3 intact. A five-pole 3.5 mm captive screw block breaks the stereo pair out of the HDMI stream for a local amplifier, and the same RJ-45 link passes bidirectional serial traffic to whatever hardware sits behind the screen. Power can travel either direction across the link, so a single supply often serves both endpoints.
Key Capabilities
- Uncompressed 4K/60 at 4:4:4 chroma over shielded twisted pair, up to 330 ft (100 m)
- 18 Gbps maximum data rate and a 600 MHz pixel clock, with HDR10, HDR10+ and Dolby Vision passed through
- Stereo de-embedding to a balanced or unbalanced analog output alongside the HDMI feed
- Bidirectional RS-232 pass-through on a 3-pole captive screw connector, 300 to 115200 baud
- Remote power over the twisted pair link, or a local 12 VDC 1.5 A supply
- Front-panel USB-C port for firmware updates and PCS configuration
Where It Is Used
The 1-inch-high, quarter-rack chassis is built to disappear — behind a flat panel, inside a lectern, on a shelf in a credenza. Typical homes are boardrooms and huddle spaces, lecture halls and classrooms, courtrooms, command and control positions, digital signage runs, and clinical display walls where the source rack sits far from the screen.
