Details
Extron DTP2 R 212 (part number 60-1588-52) — a switching DTP2 receiver that takes both a twisted pair feed and a local HDMI source, then drives one HDMI output plus balanced or unbalanced line audio.
Most receivers only terminate a link. This one also switches: a DTP2 input from a distant transmitter and a local HDMI input share the same output, so a room can carry a remote source and a lectern laptop without a separate switcher. Audio is handled properly too, with bass and treble adjustment, a fixed and a variable output on a five-pole captive screw connector, and volume control across a 100 dB range. Ethernet, RS-232 and a front USB port all configure the unit, and a pass-through serial and IR port reaches devices further down the chain.
Key Capabilities
- Two video inputs, one DTP2 on RJ-45 and one HDMI type A, switched to one HDMI output
- Audio de-embedding with fixed and variable stereo outputs, balanced or unbalanced
- Tone control: bass and treble each adjustable from +12 dB to -24 dB
- 10/100Base-T Ethernet with ARP, ICMP, IP, TCP, DHCP, HTTP, Telnet and SMTP
- Configured through Extron PCS, SIS commands, a browser or Telnet
- Can transmit or receive remote power across the DTP2 link, 18 watt budget
Where It Is Used
Meeting rooms, classrooms, courtrooms, huddle spaces and medical conference rooms that need a distant source and a local one on the same display, with room audio taken off the link and sent to an amplifier or DSP.
