Details
Extron DTP T HWP 232 D (part number 60-1365-13) — a two-input HDMI transmitter built into a decorator-style wallplate for DTP 230 extension.
Instead of pulling several long HDMI runs back to an equipment rack, this transmitter terminates two sources at the wall and forwards everything on one shielded twisted pair line to a compatible DTP 230 or DTP 330 endpoint. Each HDMI port has its own unbalanced stereo audio jack, so a laptop and a room PC can keep separate analog feeds. RS-232 travels in both directions and modulated IR travels outward, letting a control processor reach equipment at the far end of the same cable.
Key Capabilities
- Two single link HDMI inputs on female HDMI type A connectors; DVI-D sources work through an adapter
- One DTP 230 output on a female RJ-45 jack, terminated to the TIA/EIA T568B standard
- Analog stereo audio embedding, selectable per input as embedded, analog, or automatic
- RS-232 pass-through in both directions from 300 to 115200 baud, plus 30 kHz to 60 kHz modulated IR out
- Front-panel mini USB type B port for SIS configuration and firmware loading
- Powers from the supplied 12 VDC unit or remotely from the device at the far end of the DTP link
Where It Is Used
Decorator wallplate transmitters suit huddle rooms, classrooms, boardrooms, courtrooms and clinical review spaces where a guest laptop plus a fixed room source must both reach a projector or display several rooms away. The metal enclosure fits a two-gang opening, so the plate disappears into the millwork while the switching electronics stay serviceable.
