Details
Extron DTP R DP 4K 230 (part number 60-1076-13) — DisplayPort receiver for DTP 230 twisted pair links, listed here under an alternate part reference.
One shielded twisted pair run arrives at this unit and leaves it as a DisplayPort video output, a two-channel analog audio output, and RS-232 and IR signalling for the connected display or projector. Extron builds it as the display-side half of a two-piece extension set; the DTP T DP 4K 230 transmitter is bought separately. Its quarter-rack metal shell has no cooling vents, so it can hide in a sealed cavity behind a panel without a fan.
Key Capabilities
- One female DisplayPort video output conforming to DisplayPort 1.1a with HDCP 1.4 and 2.3, Single Stream Transport.
- 268 MHz maximum pixel clock at the receiver, on a link rated up to 10.8 Gbps or 2.7 Gbps per lane.
- Passes 4K 4096x2160 and UHD 3840x2160 at 30 Hz, and 2560x1600 at 60 Hz with reduced blanking.
- Analog audio output on a 5-pole 3.5 mm captive screw connector, 50 ohms unbalanced or 100 ohms balanced.
- Frequency response of 20 Hz to 20 kHz within 0.5 dB, THD plus noise of 0.03 percent at maximum output.
- RS-232 on a 3-pole captive screw connector from 300 to 115200 baud, plus modulated IR from 30 kHz to 60 kHz.
Where It Is Used
Typical placements are behind wall-mounted panels, inside lecterns, above ceiling-mounted projectors, and at operator positions in control rooms and clinical review areas. Remote powering from the transmitter over the same twisted pair removes the need for a local outlet at awkward display locations.
