Modular DMS frames rarely ship fully populated — integrators size the board count to the project and leave room to grow. This blank plate closes off any slot that does not yet hold a DVI or fiber I/O board, keeping the chassis airflow path sealed and the front panel finished until a board is added later. It is a passive metal cover with no electronics, so it carries none of the video, control, or power specifications of the boards or frame around it.
