The DMP 44 xi exists for the far more common job of taking four line-level sources, processing them and sending them to four destinations — zone feeds, an amplifier, an assistive listening transmitter, a recorder. It measures 4.3 inches wide, weighs half a pound and runs on convection cooling with no vents and no fan, so it can sit inside furniture or above a ceiling without adding noise or a dust path.
