Details
Extron DMP 128 C (part number 60-1178-01) — the acoustic echo cancellation variant of Extron's 12x8 ProDSP digital audio matrix processor.
The C is what turns a mixer into a conferencing processor. Eight independent channels of Extron AEC sit ahead of the matrix, with a tail length beyond 200 milliseconds and convergence up to 60 dB per second, which is what keeps a far-end participant from hearing their own voice come back at them. Selectable noise cancellation of up to 20 dB works alongside it. Extron's algorithms are tuned for the hard cases: double-talk, where both ends speak at once, and near-end wireless microphones that move around the room. DSP Configurator meters ERL, ERLE and total echo reduction in real time and flags when echo return loss falls outside the useful range. Everything else is standard DMP 128: twelve mic/line inputs, eight outputs, automixing and an expansion port.
