Twelve feet is the boundary. Extron rates every cable in this series up to and including this length for 4096x2160 at 60 Hz; the 25 foot version drops to 30 Hz. That makes the M-M/12 the choice when a display sits across the room from the rack but the source still has to deliver full-rate 4K. Construction is identical to the shorter members of the family: DisplayPort 1.2, 28 AWG tinned copper, braided shielding and a male latching connector at each end.
