An AAP opening does not have to terminate a connector. Sometimes the requirement is simply to bring a cable up through the plate and hand it to a user — a laptop HDMI, a USB-C tail, a control lead. That is what this metal module does: it occupies a single AAP space and provides holes for cables to be pulled straight through, keeping audio, video, phone, data and control cables organised and reachable inside the enclosure. Three different hole sizes are provided, and plastic grommets are included so the cable jacket is not running against a bare metal edge.
