Details
Extron CA 163 PT (part number 42-338-12) — the 70/100 volt, black-finish build of Extron's long throw column array loudspeaker, packaged with the SMK PT CA pan and tilt wall mount.
Distributed audio systems need speakers that tap onto a constant voltage line without losing tonal character. Extron makes the high impedance CA 163 transformerless, so no high pass filtering is required and a 70/100 V unit on a side wall matches the voice of an 8 ohm unit on the front wall. Sixteen 3 in. (76 mm) drivers in a 51.9 in. aluminum column hold vertical coverage near 20° at 1 kHz while spreading roughly 180° horizontally. Part 42-338-12 is the single-speaker black version.
