Details
Extron CA 163 PT (part number 42-338-03) — long throw column array loudspeaker in white, wired for 8 ohm low impedance operation and shipped with the SMK PT CA pan and tilt wall mount.
Reverberant rooms scatter loudspeaker output onto ceilings and floors, and the reflected energy smears consonants until announcements stop being understood. A column array attacks that problem geometrically. Sixteen 3 in. (76 mm) paper cone drivers stacked in a 51.9 in. extruded aluminum enclosure narrow vertical coverage to about 20° at 1 kHz, while horizontal coverage remains close to 180°. Part 42-338-03 is the single-speaker, low impedance build finished in white powder coat.

Where It Is Used
The white finish disappears against light walls in worship spaces, university lecture halls, civic auditoriums, gymnasiums and transport concourses. Any room with a long reverberation time and a level seating floor is a candidate, and the pan and tilt bracket lets the installer aim the array once the room is populated.
