Extron CA 163 PT (part number 42-338-02) — the black, 8 ohm version of Extron's long throw column array loudspeaker, supplied with the SMK PT CA pan and tilt wall mount.
Hard-surfaced rooms punish ordinary loudspeakers: energy that should land on listeners instead reflects off ceilings and floors and returns as reverberation. The CA 163 PT stacks sixteen 3 in. (76 mm) paper cone drivers into a single 51.9 in. aluminum column, so vertical coverage tightens to roughly 20° at 1 kHz while horizontal coverage stays near 180°. The beam is aimed along the seating plane instead of at reflective boundaries. This part number is the single-speaker, low impedance configuration in a black powder coat finish.
