Extron CA 163 LP (part number 42-339-03) — white 8 ohm long throw column array loudspeaker supplied with Extron's low-profile SMK LP CA wall mounting system.
Column arrays win in reverberant rooms because of geometry rather than raw output: stacking drivers vertically compresses the vertical lobe so that less sound ever reaches the ceiling or the floor to bounce back. Extron gives the CA 163 sixteen 3 in. (76 mm) paper cone drivers over 51.9 in. of aluminum extrusion, producing about 180° horizontally and roughly 20° vertically at 1 kHz. This part number covers the white, single-speaker, 8 ohm variant.
