Details
Extron AXI 44 AT (part number 60-1628-01) — a quarter-rack Dante audio interface taking four mic or line sources onto the network and returning four channels as analog line level.
Same idea as the two-channel version in this family, twice the density, and still in a quarter-rack box. Four mic or line inputs arrive on a pair of 6-pole captive screw connectors, each with independently switchable 48 V phantom power, and are digitised at 24-bit for transport over Dante. Four line level outputs bring any four network channels back locally. Because everything travels on Ethernet, four microphone positions can sit a long way from the rack without a multicore, and PoE 802.3at means the same cable powers the unit. Input select, gain and phantom power are set from the front panel, from DSP Configurator, or by SIS command over USB.
Key Capabilities
- Four mono mic/line inputs with 48 VDC phantom power switchable per input.
- Four line level outputs carrying any four channels from the Dante network.
- Uncompressed 24-bit audio, selectable at 44.1, 48, 88.2 or 96 kHz.
- Input gain adjusts 0 dB to +42 dB in 3 dB steps, independently per input.
- Signal to noise reaches 115 dB digital in to analog out; crosstalk stays under -90 dB at 1 kHz.
- Runs on PoE 802.3at or 12 VDC, drawing 7.0 watts at the device.
Where It Is Used
Multi-microphone conference and boardrooms, lecture theatres with several podium and lapel positions, courtrooms and council chambers, and any Dante system built around a DMP 128 Plus AT or comparable processor where analog sources are scattered around a building rather than gathered in a rack.
