Extron AXI 22 AT 2x2 Dante Network Audio Interface 60-1627-01
Extron AXI 22 AT Dante Audio Interface
- • Two mic/line inputs put analog sources onto a Dante network
- • Two line level outputs pull any two Dante channels back to local gear
- • Uncompressed 24-bit audio at 44.1, 48, 88.2 or 96 kHz
- • 48 VDC phantom power switchable independently per input
- • Input gain adjusts 0 to +42 dB in 3 dB steps from the front panel
- • Deterministic latency selectable at 1.0, 2.0 or 5.0 ms
- • Powered over PoE 802.3at, so one cable carries audio and power
- • Quarter-rack metal chassis at 0.65 lbs, convection cooled

Extron AXI 22 AT (part number 60-1627-01) — a quarter-rack Dante audio interface putting two mic or line sources onto the network and pulling two channels back off it.
The argument for this box is cabling. Rather than running long analog microphone lines back to an AV rack, the AXI 22 AT digitises at the source: two mic or line inputs on a 6-pole captive screw connector, 24-bit conversion at up to 96 kHz, and out over a single Ethernet cable that also carries power if the switch supplies PoE. In the other direction it takes any two channels from the Dante network and presents them as analog line level locally. Input select, gain and 48 V phantom power are all reachable from the front panel, from DSP Configurator, or by SIS command over USB, so a technician does not need a laptop on the network to set a level.
Key Capabilities
- Two mono mic/line inputs, balanced or unbalanced, with 48 VDC phantom power switchable per input.
- Two line level outputs carrying any two channels from the Dante network.
- Uncompressed 24-bit audio, selectable at 44.1, 48, 88.2 or 96 kHz.
- Input gain adjusts 0 dB to +42 dB in 3 dB steps, per input; output attenuation -100 dB to 0 dB in 1 dB steps.
- Deterministic latency selectable at 1.0 ms default, 2.0 ms or 5.0 ms.
- Powered by PoE 802.3at or 12 VDC; device draws 4.4 watts on the optional supply.
Where It Is Used
Lecterns and podiums where a microphone needs to reach a distant DSP, ceiling and table microphone drops in conference rooms, divisible spaces built on a DMP 128 Plus C AT or similar Dante processor, and retrofit work where pulling new analog multicore is impractical. The quarter-rack body mounts under a desk, inside millwork or in a rack shelf.
