Orange County, CA - July 25th, 2018 - Healcerion was the first company to receive clearance from the U.S Food and Drug Administration for their wireless, app-based ultrasound system device SONON 300C. Since introducing the SONON 300C convex transducer back in 2015, the company made significant progress to further advance this branch of ultrasound devices with developing the SONON 300L linear transducer.
The SONON 300L device works with most Android/iOS phones and tablets. It requires the user to simply download the Healcerion app and then pair the ultrasound to the device being used. It weighs less than a pound, including the battery. The rechargeable battery is able to scan continuously for up to three hours and can last twelve hours on standby.
The device features Wi-Fi and 3G/LTE capabilities; this way doctors will always have an internet connection when in remote regions of the world.“Because the idea of SONON 300L came from a desire to help reduce the worldwide healthcare imbalance, all of our technology has been developed to meet the needs of those with the least resources, while utilizing the best technology available,” said John Park, CMO of Healcerion.
The SONON 300L can be used in a variety of medical applications at education, medical, and emergency disaster sites. The device also provides an echo imaging, measurement, and analysis of the human body for general clinical applications, including musculoskeletal (MSK), vascular, small parts (breast, thyroid) and lung imaging. The equipment offers a color mode, which allows users a clearer, in-depth image.
While this new device isn’t able to replace conventional full-size ultrasound systems, this device can become a standard tool for clinics, remote areas, and home healthcare providers.
