How 4k medical equipment technology is changing the field of medical imaging

So what is 4k resolution? 4K represents 4000 pixels from one side of the screen to the other and the resolution goes beyond the simple image clarity of HD. It provides some of the sharpest and most detailed images possible with current technology. It has become the ideal resolution for the medical imaging field because of the supreme image clarity it provides.
Originally made for the entertainment industry, 4K UHD was adapted for the medical industry as it provides four times the amount of visualization of any HD monitor ever made previously. This technology can be applied to surgical imaging, detailed CT scans, and the enhancement of medical monitors to provide a faster and more accurate diagnosis.
With imaging devices being integrated into modern day surgeries, these display units act as the physicians’ eyes, guiding them as they navigate through a patient’s body. Implementing 4K technology allows surgeons be more precise as well as help improve the accuracy of medical procedures and tests. These improved medical monitors help create a more detailed CT scan image as well as improve accuracy of ultrasounds, endoscopies, and many others.
