Software provides a simple and economical alternative
to expensive DICOM printers creating nondiagnostic
prints from your desktop printer.
PACS
Print transforms a standard Windows® PC
into a DICOM compatible print server. Once PACS
Print is installed, it is configured with an
AE Title and Port Number. Next, each workstation
or modality is configured to print to the PACS
Print host PC by setting its DICOM print configuration
according to each manufacturers instructions.
When the operator initiates the DICOM print
command from a workstation to the PACS Print
destination, the images will be automatically
converted and printed without futher operator
assistance. Up to 2 printers can be used by
each PACS Print host. Dedicate one for color
and another for black and white, or use two
similar printers to share the workload.
