The
Sony HDC-X310 incorporates three 1/2-inch type
1.5-mega pixel HD CCDs, which offer high resolution,
high sensitivity, and high signal-to-noise characteristics.
Packing this performance into an extremely compact
chassis, the Sony HDC-X310 offers advanced features
such as progressive scan modes, slow shutter,
and exceptional interface and operational flexibility
through its associated HFU-X310 interface unit,
connected via a fiber optical cable. The HFU-X310
interface unit hosts up to two optional interface
boards to cover a range of output signals, including
HD-SDI, SD-SDI, and HDV through the i.LINK®
interface , as well as computer XGA output.
The Sony HDC-X310 camera is ideal for an extensive range of HD image acquisition applications. Bi-directional digital data - including video, camera control signals, external sync, optical filter servo control, and pan & tilt control signals - are transmitted between the HDC-X310 and the HFU-X310 via an optical fiber cable. This cable can be up to 3280 feet (1000 meters) long, which allows the camera to be installed virtually anywhere required.
